On Saturday the 12th October FAC51 The Haçienda returns to Manchester for what promises to be an absolutely epic night with a stellar line-up guaranteed to make for a very special night indeed at the home of the Warehouse Project, the magnificent Depot Mayfield.
Haçienda Classical conducted by Tim Crooks and featuring the Manchester Camerata, Yvonne Shelton, Rae Hall, Melanie Williams and the AMC Gospel Choir will be performing their final UK date of 2019 and there will also be live performances from A Certain Ratio and Soul II Soul. DJs on the night include US legends Louie Vega (making his Haçienda debut), David Morales, Arthur Baker and Marshall Jefferson as well as the UK’s very own Mike Pickering, Greg Wilson, Justin Robertson, Tom Wainwright and K-klass, plus an exclusive DJ set from Sub Sub.
As the venue closes at 3am and there is so much to cram in to the two rooms, doors open at 6pm for this event with last entry at 9pm. Yes, it’s an earlier start and finish than you’d normally expect, but who cares when you have a line-up like this?
I’m really excited (and nervous) to be part of this and will be performing twice on the night. First I’ll be DJing with Mike Pickering in the Concourse before making a very swift dash to the Depot to perform with Haçienda Classical. This means that my usual pre-show prep time will be literally seconds rather than the usual hour I spend getting in “the zone”. You can see why I’m nervous.
The images of the venue give you some idea of what’s in store and full set times are below. It really is going to be an incredible night which you really don’t want to miss. There are, I’m told, a few last remaining tickets so if you’re quick you can hopefully grab some here: bit.ly/HaciendaDepotMayfieldOct2019Tickets
Hopefully I’ll see you there for a night that I’m sure people will be talking about for years to come.
