THANK YOU AUSTRALIA!

A massive thank you to Ministry Of Sound Australia for inviting me to DJ on their Testament 25 Tour recently alongside fellow Brits Smokin’ Jo, Paul Oakenfold and Utah Saints as well as Aussie DJs Sgt Slick and Mark Dynamix.

The tour took us to the White Bay Power Station in Sydney (twice), The Timer Yard in Melbourne, Miami Marketta on The Gold Coast, Superordinary in Brisbane and the Court in Perth.

All of the venues were amazing and the energy from the crowds was incredible which made for six huge gigs.

As the theme of the tour was the 1990s and I had several gigs in quick succession, I set myself a challenge to play six different sets to keep things fresh for me and I managed to do so with just a few tunes getting repeated throughout the tour. You can listen to my DJ sets from Australia in the player below.

It really was great to spend some quality time with my fellow DJs rather than the brief encounters we usually have a gigs and we all enjoyed hanging out immensely. It was also good to catch up with lots of old friends and faces who have all moved to Australia in recent years too.

The welcome and hospitality from Australia was wonderful too and while I had some time off I cycled over 150km in Sydney, The Gold Coast, Brisbane and Perth on my Brompton folding bike which I’m so glad I brought with me. Even Jo and Tim Utah joined me on hired bikes for a few kms on The Gold Coast.

So thank you Australia for the most incredible time and I hope to see you all again soon.
