Summer is here and hopefully we’ll all be able to get together and dance like we haven’t danced since March 2020 from the 19th July onwards. I certainly hope so, because like most people in my industry I’ve had practically no income whatsoever for almost 16 months and, as one of the almost 3 million “Excluded” and “Forgotten”, absolutely no financial support from the government either.
So to celebrate the opening up of the live sector and nightclubs, I’ve decided to launch a new range of t-shirts and caps for the summer, all of which feature my distinctive GP Smiley logo and are available from my Official Website Store. The 100% soft ringspun cotton t-shirts come in a variety of colours, some of which make a nod to the fitba’ (or football, if you’re not Scottish).
As an Aberdeen fan I couldn't resist launching the GP “Dandy” Smiley t-shirt which, of course, with its two stars makes a subtle reference to the fact that Aberdeen are the only Scottish club to have won two European trophies.
Of course, I fully realise that if you’re not an Aberdeen fan you probably won’t be buying the GP “Dandy” Smiley t-shirt so, through gritted teeth, I decided to make a nod to some other Scottish fitba’ teams to keep my many Scottish fans happy. Therefore you’ll also be able to buy GP Smiley t-shirts in green, blue, orange and yellow too. However, I must apologise to Hearts fans (and Stenhousemuir fans too) in advance because the t-shirts I’m using don’t come in claret. Sorry. Oh, and apologies to Dundee and Raith Rovers fans and to Dunfermline Athletic and Ayr United fans too, but I’m a DJ trying to make some extra cash, not a football fan merchandising site (besides, the white t-shirts in my last range didn't really sell).
But what about English football teams? Well, Manchester United, Liverpool, Stoke City, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest fans can treat themselves to the red t-shirt with a white GP Smiley and Manchester City fans can grab a sky blue t-shirt with a claret GP Smiley which I designed with the help of City supporting Mike Pickering. Aston Villa and Burnley fans will clearly be as disappointed as Hearts fans though.
Of course, if you’re not bothered about football colours you can also get the GP Smiley t-shirt in other colours and designs too such as military green and, due to numerous requests, bright yellow with a large GP Smiley logo. Most of the new t-shirts are also available in a women fit too and I’m not ruling out adding more colours and designs over the summer.
I’m also launching the GP Smiley army cap in olive green with a yellow embroidered logo and in navy blue with a red embroidered logo. The cap is made from 100% heavy washed cotton, has a pre-curved peak and adjustable fabric strap with metal buckle and grommet. It’s a quality cap.
I’ve personally road tested the t-shirts and caps and can personally guarantee the quality of them. I couldn't sell something that I wouldn’t wear myself and if you’ve bought clothing from my store before you’ll know that this is the case with all of my merchandise. Don’t forget that GP Smiley sweatshirts, hoodies, masks, snoods as well as enamel badges are still available too.
All of my new and existing merchandise is available from my Official Website Store.
Thank you for your support and I’ll hopefully see you in a dance floor soon.
