Last Saturday 9th May saw a massive line-up of DJs, musicians and singers get together online for the Haçienda House Party II with United We Stream GM. After the success of our first event back in April, we were all very excited about this one and a lot of hard work went into delivering what turned out to be a very special event.

As well as featuring DJ sets from myself, Arthur Baker, Louie Vega, Jon Dasilva, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Pierre, Peter Hook, DJ Paulette and Allister Whitehead there was also a unique and special Haçienda Classical performance featuring musicians from the Manchester Camerata Orchestra, the AMC Gospel Choir, singers Melanie Williams and Rae Hall and conductor Tim Crooks all performing from home while me, Yvonne Shelton and latin percussionist Chris Cruiks performed in the United We Stream studio. Despite lockdown, social distancing and technical limitations we managed to pull off an incredible 30 minute performance that received an overwhelming response from all of you. It was quite nerve wracking being part of this and such a joy to see all the hard work pay off.

Once again we raided lots of money for night time economy and NHS charities, so a massive thank you from all of us for your continued support during this bizarre time. We’re already looking at the diary and hope to do this again soon while clubs, bars, festivals and other live events remain out of bounds for now.
