A massive thank you to everyone who came along to one of my many gigs over Christmas and New Year. I played a really varied and eclectic selection of tunes over the festive period and did some long DJ sets too. All of the shows were outstanding thanks to the magnificent audiences who came along.
On Friday 20th December I played at The Old Courts in Wigan which is a former courthouse that has been turned into an arts and events centre. I DJ’d after a live performance from Dirty Circus. It was my first gig in Wigan in a long time and it was a great night thanks to the wonderful crowd. Hopefully I’ll be back soon.
Straight after I finished in Wigan I raced over to Leeds for my first Up Yer Ronson night in years which took place at a great venue called Sheaf Street. Paul Murray and Marshall were on the decks when I arrived and the venue was packed with a lot of familiar faces. It was an amazing night too with a fabulous vibe.

The following night 21st December, I was in Leicester for We Present at 2Funky Music Café. We Present put on brilliant parties and this was no exception with a marvellous crowd.

On Sunday 22nd December I returned to the Spiegeltent at The Piece Hall in Halifax for one of my occasional Long Live House club nights. I played here Christmas 2018 and I was utterly thrilled to be back. I DJ’d for four hours in this magnificent venue to an incredibly enthusiastic crowd and it really was a special night. So much so that we’re looking at making this an annual event.

On Friday 27th December I was back in Carlisle for another intimate gig at The Circle. Once again it was another phenomenal night with a great crowd. I’ll be back in 2020 for sure.

I love an out of the way, intimate gig and on Saturday 28th December I headed to the Late Lounge in Chorleyto play for In | Session for what turned out to be a tremendous night in deepest, darkest Lancashire. Pretty sure I’ll be back for more this year.

My final show of 2019 was The Haçienda Residents New Years Eve Party at the brand new Viadux Warehouse in Manchester. I followed Greg Wilson and brought in the New Year to a first-rate and fabulous crowd in this former Alfa Romeo showroom that I used to visit regularly. Although I missed the gorgeous fizz and grunt of an Italian V6 petrol engine, the four to the floor grooves of big house tunes and the very vocal crowd more than made up for it (besides, I get to listen to glorious Italian petrol engines every time I drive one of my Italian cars). For the first ever (I think) I warmed up for Tom Wainwright who, as you should all be aware, used to warm up for me at The Haçienda on Saturdays from 1992 to 1997 and is arguably one of the greatest warm up DJs ever. He played a great peak time set on New Years Eve too.
