It’s been an eventful week for me with three magnificent events to tell you about in Liverpoo, Manchester and London.
CLUBTOGETHER LAUNCH AT SEVENSTORE LIVERPOOL 17MAY
Clubtogether is an exciting new interactive website that documents clubbing history and it relies on people adding their own clubbing memories to the site. Created by Dorothy, who designed the Acid House Love Blueprint which was used on the cover of my Long Live House Volume One compilation album, the website was officially launched with a party at the new Sevenstore in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and I was asked to DJ. There was a huge screen linked to a tablet computer and those who were there were able to add their clubbing memories in real time to the interactive timeline and see it change while everyone danced to th eclectic selection of tunes I played. Why don’t you try it out and add your own memories?
FAC51 THE HAÇIENDA AT THE ALBERT HALL MANCHESTER 17MAY
Straight after I’d finished in Liverpool I headed straight down the M62 to Manchester for the FAC51 The Haçienda club night at The Albert Hall where I was DJing alongside Tom Wainwright, Greg Wilson, Chez Damier, Roger Sanchez and Todd Terry. The party was already in full swing when I arrived and I took to the decks straight after Chez Damier. The whole place was jumping with a crowd who were right up for it. I enjoyed this night immensely and judging from the response, everyone else did too. if you missed it you can listen to my DJ set here: This Is Graeme Park: FAC51 The Haçienda @ The Albert Hall Manchester 17MAY19 Live DJ Set
DO YOU OWN THE DANCEFLOOR? SCREENING, Q&A AND AFTERPARTY KING’S CROSS LONDON 21MAY
Tuesday 21st May was The Haçienda’s 37th birthday and to celebrate the Everyman Cinema in King’s Cross London screened the Do You Own The Dancefloor? followed by a q&a with Haçienda designer Ben Kelly, director Chris Hughes and myself. After a lively discussion I DJ’d in the Supermax beneath the cinema for an intimate afterparty that went on well into the night. A wonderful evening.
If you’d like to come and see me DJ or perform at this year’s Haçienda Classical show then please visit my Gig Guide for more information and ticket details. My next gig is Sunday 16th May as I bring my Long Live House club night to The Odd Frog in Barrow-in-Furness. I hope to see you on a dance floor soon.
