HAÇIENDA CLASSICAL DATES 2019

Haçienda Classical returns for 2019 with a new set and we’re all excited to be playing at new venues and returning to some we’ve played at before. This will be our fourth year of touring and we’re planning on making this year’s show bigger and better than ever!

First up is the Open Air Theatre in Scarborough on Friday 8th June. This is where we’ll be debuting the new show which will feature the return of some of the songs featured in the first show as well as some brand new songs too. We’ll also be including some of last year’s biggest tracks, so look out for a spectacular debut in Yorkshire.

The second week of June promises to be an intense rollercoaster ride for everyone involved as we have three shows back to back. On Friday 14th June we return to the Big Top at the Isle Of Wight Festival. We played there last year and had an absolute ball closing the Big Top so we really can’t wait o play here again.

The next day Saturday 15th June we’ll be boarding the ferry bright and early as we head to Kent to perform at Bedgebury Pinetum for the first of our two outdoor Forest Live events which are set in the stunning surroundings of Forestry England sites. The second is Sunday 16th June at Westonburt, The National Arboretum in Gloucestershire. If you’ve been to any of our outdoor shows you’ll know what wonderful experiences they are and these promise to be amazing.

Saturday 6th July sees us back for a fourth time at the magnificent Royal Albert Hall in London. The past three years have been amazing and always a highlight. I get quite nervous walking through the stage door and down into the bowels of this historic building as I head to my dressing room surrounded by images of hugely talented performers who have played here over the past 140 years or so. I can’t wait!

Finally (for now anyway) we’re back on home soil for our fourth appearance at Sounds Of The City at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester on Saturday 13th July. The three previous shows have been very special indeed and this time we’re supported by Detroit legends Inner City who will be performing live. Wow!

Hopefully we’ll be announcing more dates soon as enquiries to book the show continue to come in. I’m thrilled and excited to be joining the Manchester Camerata, Tim Crooks, Rae Hall, Melanie Williams, Yvonne Shelton, Peter Hook, The AMC Gospel Choir and others once again on stage for another wonderful year of touring and reimagining some classic club tunes with the energy and excitement of an orchestra. I suppose I’d better hurry up and finish that new set list… quick! Well, it needs arranging and scoring and the pre-production needs to begin. Look out everyone… we’re back!
