On Friday 13th December I DJ’d at a brand new venue in Sheffield. Steelyard Kelham is an urban space just outside the city centre made up of shipping containers converted into bars, restaurants and retail outlets. I was there to launch the project and, despite the cold and damp, enjoyed my outdoor set immensely as did the people who came along for what turned out be a slightly damp and chilly but highly enthusiastic party. I’m very much looking forward to returning to this great space next year when the weather improves.

On Saturday 14th December I took my Long Live House club night to The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, a socialist members cooperative, club, bar and music venue in West Yorkshire that was built in 1924 as a joint enterprise by half a dozen local trade unions and brought back to life in 1982. I DJ’d for four hours to a wonderful crowd in this truly wonderful and historic venue and hope to return in 2020.

The Trades Club Hebden Bridge
This weekend I have four gigs over three days ahead of Christmas. On Mad Friday 20th December I’m at the Old Courts in Wigan until midnight and then I’m off to Leeds for my first Up Yer Ronson show in years. On Saturday 21st December I’m back at the wonderful We Present in Leicester and then my final gig before Christmas is one of my Long Live House club nights at the Piece Hall in Halifax on Sunday 22nd December where I’ll be DJing all night long.
I finish off the year in Carlisle Chorley and then Manchester on New Years Eve. Full details of these and all of my forthcoming dates can be found under Gigs on my website homepage.
