Last Friday 6th December I was at the Hard Rock Café in Manchester for the first ever Nordoff Robbins Big Quiz. Hosted by BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins, I was in a team alongside 6 Music’s Mark Radcliffe, BBC Breakfast’s Naga Muchetty, Channel 5’s weather presenter Clare Nasir and others. As well as hosting one of the quiz rounds, I also helped Chris Hawkins with the raffle and everyone who came along helped raise thousands of pounds for this wonderful charity. Hopefully this will be an annual event.
Nordoff Robbins are the UK’s largest independent music therapy charity who use music to enrich the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses, disabilities and feelings of isolation. To donate and find out more about their amazing work, please visit Nordoff Robbins
Later that night I heard up to the Winter Gardens in Morecambe to DJ with Tom Wainwright for Highest Point. Just like he used to do magnificently at the Haçienda on Saturdays in the 1990s, he warmed up the crowd wonderfully in this magnificent venue until I took over on the decks. It was great night and you can catch me and Tom together again on New Year’s Eve in Manchester at The Haçienda NY Eve Residents’ Party at Viadux.

On Saturday 7th December I made my third DJ appearance of this year in Blackburn where I DJ’d for The House That Jack Built at the Holy Trinity Church as part of winter: bbn, a pop up festival based across multiple venues in Blackburn that makes use of unused spaces and unique locations. Holy Trinity Church is a superb venue despite being absolutely bloody freezing. However, that definitely didn't stop everyone having an amazing night.
