THIS IS GRAEME PARK: MARCH ’17 BEATPORT CHART & MORE

It’s that time of the month where I publish my regular Beatport chart of superb new tunes guaranteed to make you groove.

You can hear the tunes I’ve chosen in my weekly Graeme Park Radio Show Podcast which you can find under Music on my website’s home page. You can also hear them if you come to one of my gigs and full details of where to catch me in the coming weeks and months can be found under Gigs.

I had two wonderful gigs in February. First up on 18FEB was Expo 2 at Barca in the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Tynemouth in the North East. This was my first time DJing at this superb, intimate venue and it was packed with a fabulous up-for-it crowd which made for an amazing night. I’m already looking forward to playing there later this year. You can hear my DJ set here: https://www.mixcloud.com/graemepark/this-is-graeme-park-expo-by-barca-tynemouth-18feb17-live-dj-set/

On 25FEB I was in Ipswich  for the Pams House 21st Birthday Party at the magnificent Corn Exchange. As I expected, the Pams House crowd didn’t let me down and we had an absolute ball. Straight after I finished my set at The Corn Exchange I was off to Bowmans for the official Pams House 21st Birthday After Party. I must admit that I was slightly concerned when I arrived to find the room I was DJing in full of a very young crowd grooving away to R&B. How was I going to keep the dance floor happy? The Pams House posse wouldn’t be here for a while. I decided to start with some laid back grooves before building it up to some classic house tunes before dropping some full on disco house madness. The Pams House crew continued the madness as they arrived en mass and, I’m glad to say, the younger R*B crowd continued to groove too (apart from one miserable girl who kept demanding some Rihanna). Finally, work on the new Haçienda Classical show continues as we prepare for a new setlist for 2017. Tim Crooks  is currently scoring and arranging the new songs and I’m working with Si Brad to create the parts the wonderful Manchester Camerata Orchestra can’t perform for the backing track. As well as the all new setlist we’ll also be announcing a very exciting special guest vocalist which we’re all very excited about. Rowetta  and Yvonne Shelton are confirmed to appear with us again as are the AMC Choir. Our first show is 14APR at The First Direct Arena in Leeds. Full details of this and all of this year’s shows can be found under Gigs  on my homepage.
