THIS IS GRAEME PARK: FEBRUARY BEATPORT CHART & MORE
I hope you enjoyed January and have managed to banish the post festive season blues. There wasn’t much happening in clubland, and to be honest I was glad and in need of a rest after my hectic schedule leading up to New Years Eve. I did have a couple of events at the end of the month and they both reminded me just how much I enjoy what I do as I enter my 33rd year as a DJ. After three weekends off, I was vey excited to be heading off on the road.
My first gig of the year was actually a private party in Elgin the day before I played at the superb Foundation at Envi in Bathgate. A massive shout to everyone who came along to both nights which were the perfect way to blow off the cobwebs and get me fired up for 2017 which promises to be another bumper year. If you’d like to book me for your club or private events, please go to http://thisisgraemepark.com/booking and fill in the booking enquiry form.
February sees me head to North Shields on 18FEB to play for Expo at Barca in Tynemouth. I always have a ball when I play in the North East but it’s a while since I’ve played in North Shields. It’s also a new night and venue for me too which is always exciting. The following weekend I’m at the Pams House 21st Birthday at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich on 25FEB. This promises to be an incredible night (Pams House nights always are!) in a wonderful venue. You can get more details of these shows plus all of my forthcoming 2017 gigs from http://thisisgraemepark.com/gigs
Haçienda Classical is back this year with a totally new setlist. Mike Pickering and I have been busy choosing new tracks over the past few weeks and we’ve finally decided on the final setlist. It would have been the easy option to keep most of last year’s set and to add a few new tracks but we decided to rip up everything we did last year and start afresh. We have kept three or four tracks from last year’s show but there’s such a rich seam of tunes to mine from that we decided that digging deep and creating something new was the way to go. Expect a real variety of tunes from the late 1980s and up to the mid 1990s all of which were, without exception, massive at The Haçienda. You’re in for some surprises and treats too. The DJ mix I’ve created that forms the basis of the new set is currently being arranged and scored by Tim Crooks for The Manchester Camerata Orchestra and I’ve began working on the non-orchestral backing track with Si Bradshaw. Our first shows are in Leeds and Glasgow in April before we head to London, Manchester, Newcastle, Brighton and more locations around the UK. Full details of where to catch the new show are available from http://thisisgraemepark.com/gigs
My weekly Graeme Park Radio Show Podcast goes from strength to strength with more stations coming on board every week including Stockport‘s Imagine FM which broadcasts the show every Saturday night. You can listen via my website or on your local FM station or favourite internet station. My weekly eclectic selection of current and classic tunes is an accurate reflection of what I play in a club and is a joy to create for you every week.
Finally, my monthly Beatport chart is full of my current favourite new tunes which I’m very much looking forward to playing on the radio and in a club. Check out my Beatport February 17 Superb Tunes chart here: https://www.beatport.com/chart/this-is-graeme-park-february-17-superb-tunes/434188
