THIS IS GRAEME PARK: BLACKBURN, MANCHESTER, DUNDEE, THIS WEEK’S RADIO SHOWS & MORE w/e 11OCT14

BLACKBURN, MANCHESTER, DUNDEE & MORE

This weekend I’m playing alongside The Happy Mondays, Marshall Jefferson, Jon Da Silva and others at two FAC 51 The Haçienda nights. First up is King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Friday 10th October and then on Saturday 11th October it’s The Albert Hall in Manchester. Although Manchester is sold out, there are still a few tickets left for Blackburn. Both nights promise to be epic and I can’t wait to take to the decks. We’re also taking this event to The Forum in London‘s Kentish Town next Saturday 18th October too.

On Sunday 12th October I’m very excited about closing the Rhumba Festival Of House Weekender at Buskers in Dundee. This event has a massive line-up of house DJs and it’s an honour to be asked to be part of what promises to be an epic weekend.

Last weekend was pretty epic too. The Swoon night in Stafford was superb as was Better Days in Cleethorpes. A massive shout to everyone who came down.

MY RECENT NON-APPEARANCE AT SSW4: PUTTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

A couple of weeks ago I was due to DJ at SSW4 in Lancashire but unfortunately I didn’t. This was due to the promoter cancelling me just a couple of days before the event because of my forthcoming appearance at The Southport Heritage Weekender. I’d like to point out that despite SSW4‘s public claims that The Southport Heritage Weekender insisted that I pull out of SSW4, this is totally false. The Southport Heritage Weekender have never had any issues with me playing at SSW4 and I’m disappointed that these totally false accusations are doing the rounds. I was very much looking forward to playing an acid house set and a disco set at SSW4 and I know from the amount of messages I received ahead of the event that you were too. The real losers here are you, the punters, and several of you have contacted me to express your disappointment at me not being there. I can only apologise. It’s not my style to discuss matters like this publicly, but when other promoters and DJs contact me asking if The Southport Heritage Weekender told me to pull out, I had to put the record straight. So roll on next Friday 17th October when I’ll be DJing at The Southport Heritage Weekender. I really can’t wait to spin some massive tunes and hang out with old friends. It’s been a while.
